    White Otter Lake
    Lake has several attractions along its sandy shores including a historic, three-storey log cabin, Native archaeological sites, pictographs and remnants of dams and logging camps.

    Pakwash Lake
    Pakwash Lake is fed by the Chukuni River, Trout River and English River. Its length is 27 km (17 mi) long, 8 km (5mi) wide and at a depth of 15 m (50 feet). Catch Walleye and Northern Pike at this lake.

    English River stretches 615 km (382 mi) and is a prime location for sport-fishing with such species as Walleye and Northern Pike found in its waters. A town with the same name is located in Western Ontario.

    Dinorwic Lake is located in Northern Ontario and provides fishing for Walleye, Muskie, Bass and Perch. Lake stretches over 32 km (20 mi).

    The Winnipeg River, meaning murky water in Cree, is 813 km (505 mi) long and stretches from Lake of the Woods in Ontario to Lake Winnipeg in Manitoba. Communities situated along its shores include Kenora and Minaki in Northern Ontario.

    Steep Rock Lake
    Steep Rock Lake was the site of a major iron-ore mining project located near Atikokan. The project required the de-watering of the lake. In 1980, the mine was closed and the lake has returned to its natural state.

    Howey Bay was named after gold prospectors Raymond and Lorne Howey. The community of Red Lake is located on the shores of this bay.

    Agimak Lake
    Agimak Lake is approximately 5 km (3 mi) long and has sandy beaches. Swimming is allowed in the lake and fishing for Walleye and Northern Pike is possible.

    Historic Boundary Waterway
    This historic transportation route was vital to the settlement of the area and was used during the fur trade, construction of the railroad and for mining and logging industries. Waterway stretches from the communities of Atikokan to Minaki.

    This river is found in the Woodland Caribou Provincial Park and stretches 303 km (188 mi). It is an ideal location for paddling and viewing wildlife and pictograph sites.

    Hudson Bay
    Named after explorer Henry Hudson, Hudson Bay is a large body of water that drains a large portion of Manitoba, Ontario, Quebec and Nunavut. The bay is considered a part of the Arctic Ocean and covers a surface area of over 1.2 million sq km (463,320 sq mi). It was also the site of the formation of the Hudson's Bay Company and played an integral role in the birth of Canada as a nation.

    Located in Sunset Country on the Ontario and Minnesota border, Rainy Lake provides outdoor enthusiasts with great fishing and hunting opportunities. Several camps and outfitters are located along its shores.

    Lake of the Woods
    Lake of the Woods is located in Sunset Country, a region of Ontario known for an abundance of lakes. The lake is filled with over 14,000 islands and is home for large numbers of endangered American white pelicans and bald eagles.

    Abram Lake
