Max the Moose is an 18 ft moose made of mesh, steel rods, concrete and a layer of lacquer. Weighing in at 2 tons he is Dryden's official mascot. He is located among the trees at the Tourist Information Centre along Highway 17 and has become a popular attraction among tourists. Built in 1962, the city celebrates his birthday on July 19.
